Publishers' Copyright & Self-Archiving Policies
Sherpa (Securing a Hybrid Environment for Research Preservation and Access), an independent group investigating issues in the future of scholarly communication and publishing, maintains a
searchable Archive of
summaries of permissions normally provided with publishers' copyright transfer agreements.
Many publishers, but not all, have position statements on the Open Access issue or
for accommodating researchers' requirement to comply with the
NIH Enhanced Public Access Policy, effective May 2, 2005. Link directly to
