• Intute: Virtual Training Suite -  tutorials for students, lecturers, and researchers to improve Internet technology skills, with quizzes and interactive exercises.

• ixquick -  meta search engine searches other search engines.

• Librarian's Guide to the Internet -  subject directory with evaluated web sites arranged by category.

• MedBot -  from Stanford MedWorld, "Super Search" feature queries up to four databases at the same time & reports results of searches on a single page. Focus is on health & medical resources.

• MedHunt - from Health on the Net (HON) Foundation, a search engine for medical resources.

• MetaCrawler - one-stop service allowing searching of multiple search engines simultaneously.

• Scirus -  specialized Search Engine from Elsevier Science limits results to scientific web sites prior to searching.
