This database from the U.S. Government provides easy access
to information on over 5,000 clinical research studies worldwide.
- Genetics
Home Reference - This database from the National Library of Medicine (NLM) provides
consumer-friendly information about the effects of genetic variations on human
health, and the genes or chromosomes related to genetic
conditions.

Household Products
Database - This database from the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services offers information on the potential
health effects of the ingredients contained in more than 7,000 common household
products.

Tests Online - This database is designed to
help patients and caregivers better understand the many clinical lab tests that
are part of routine care as well as diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of
conditions and diseases.

This very comprehensive consumer health database is from the
National Library of Medicine (NLM). It provides extensive information about
diseases, medical condition, and drugs; an illustrated medical encyclopedia;
interactive patient tutorials; and the latest health news.
- PDQ (Physician Data
Query) - This
comprehensive cancer database is from the National Institutes of Health. It
contains peer-reviewed summaries on cancer treatment, screening, prevention,
genetics, and supportive care, and complementary and alternative medicine; a
registry of more than 6,000 open and 17,000 closed cancer clinical trials from
around the world; and a directory of professionals who provide genetics
services.

life sciences with a concentration on biomedicine. It contains citations from
