Article/Book Request Form

ARTICLE / BOOK REQUEST FORM

This service is restricted to current employees of the NCI-Frederick. To use this service, you must have a Scientific Library barcode on the back of your photo ID. Requests from unauthorized sources will not be processed. Current limits, based on copyright compliance, daily workload, and our concern with balancing the needs of all requestors, are 10 articles per requestor per day. If you have any questions about this service, please call the Library at x1093. Please note the following -

Complete the request form as instructed; incomplete requests may be returned.
In compliance with copyright law, the Library will copy one contribution to a single journal issue or book per requestor.
Use one form per item requested.
Items not in the Scientific Library's collection will be obtained for you from another Library.
Books will be held for pickup at the Circulation Desk in the Library.

***NOTICE: WARNING CONCERNING COPYRIGHT RESTRICTIONS***
The Copyright Law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
